Bright Mexican Pink shawl without a pattern (one colour throughout).
It looks and feels luxurious and elegant, but it can also be worn to brighten up any outfit. It works with most outfits and as it is so lush and colour rich it is perfect for special occasions - such as weddings (either guests or brides). Perfect for the ethically-conscious.
Rebozos are super versatile: wear it as a scarf any time of the year, cover the shoulders as an elegant pashmina with a dress, wrap it around a cardigan, or accessorise your wedding day!
Chilpa works directly with the artisans who make the rebozos. Rebozos are made in the town of Tenancingo, 90km from Mexico City. There are more than 12 steps to making a rebozo, using traditional ikat methods on a wooden loom.
Each rebozo is unique so the fringe pattern may vary from the images shown.
Small: 1.20 x 45 cm. This rebozo has a lower thread count so the fabric feels slightly thinner.
Medium: 160 cm x 68cm.
As always, 100% cotton and 100% handmade. Hand wash recommended. Machine wash in gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry, lay flat to dry away from sunlight. Do not wring.
Because the rebozos are entirely hand made, very small imperfections may occur from time to time, however this is part of the charm.
